About the program: We’ll learn about your background, determine goals, and develop highly individualized user-friendly strategies, accompanied by hand-selected recipes designed to help you begin working toward your healthy objectives, one delicious meal at a time. Four Engines Focus: Nutrition About the practitioner: My name is Vicki Brett-Gach. My mother suffered from severe cardiovascular disease. My family had no idea that so many chronic illnesses could be avoided, or even reversed, through food. To this day, I wish I could have shared with her what we now understand to be true about plant-based diets. When I myself became plant-based and vegan, I discovered that I had more energy than ever before! Plus my blood pressure fell, and my cholesterol dropped 50 points within just a few weeks! And oh yeah, and I lost 10 pounds, and this time effortlessly, and for good. Today, I’m a Master-Certified Vegan Lifestyle Coach, Plant-Based Culinary Instructor, Certified Personal Chef, and author of “The Plant-Based for Life Cookbook: Deliciously Simple Recipes that Nourish, Comfort, Energize, and Renew.” I work with individual clients across the country, looking for a better way to make dietary choices for optimal health. Even though there are such compelling reasons to consider a plant-based vegan lifestyle – for personal health, for the animals, for the environment – so many people struggle with the food. This is where the delicious fun truly begins. I specialize in creating, testing, and refining recipes for fabulous, wholesome food, with an emphasis on fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains, along with nutritious low-fat starch-based principles. However, I wasn’t always plant-based, and I understand very well the challenges that a new vegan can face, and as your personal coach, I want to help make this adventure the best decision you’ve ever made. During our sessions, we’ll explore best-fit strategies and transitional tools, plus create wonderful food you’ll really love – with customized recipes designed to establish and support your new healthy habits, one delicious meal at a time.
