General

When I refer to idealism in this book, I am generally referring to a particular form of idealism known as objective idealism, also consistent with advaita vedanta.

"This is a position consistent with the philosophy of materialism." should be "This is a position consistent with naive realism."

Reasoning: Materialism is the view that mind is a byproduct of matter, whereas naive realism is the view that the world is as we see it.

"The materialist mind recognizes a world that is independent of the interpreting nervous system." should be "The naive realist mind recognizes a world that is independent of the interpreting nervous system."

Reasoning: Same as above.


Page 67

"It’s important to recognize that there are degrees of materialism..." should be "It’s important to recognize that there are degrees of realism..."

Reasoning: Same as above.
